St. Ignatius Syriac Orthodox Church, Ottawa
“അന്ത്യോഖ്യായുടെ അധിപതിയെ … പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കണമേ ഞങ്ങൾക്കായ്”
Welcome
We welcome everyone to the Syriac Orthodox (Jacobite) parish in Canada's National Capital Region of Ottawa. The Holy Service (Qurbono) is typically conducted bilingually with a mix of both Malayalam and Syriac languages used for the hymns and prayers. Malayalam is the mother tongue for many of our members hailing from Kerala, India and Syriac is an ancient language that has been used in Christian liturgy for centuries, thereby helping to connect us to the early Christian communities in the Middle East.
We hope that this webpage will serve as a valuable resource for you to learn more about our Church, its mission, and its ministries. Whether you are a longtime member or a newcomer, we invite you to explore our webpage and to connect with us as we journey together in faith.
Thank you for visiting, and may God bless you abundantly.

Elias arrived in Malankara on 21 March and remained in India until February 1932 when he died at the Church of St. Ignatius Monastery Manjinikkara on 13 February where his remains were interred .
